Good food sweet margaritas

Favorite place to eat Mexican. The bean dip is my favorite and it goes great with a frozen mango/strawberry marg!

We arrived just in time to miss the rush on a Saturday evening. Our party of ten was sat in less than 5 minutes and drink order taken. Our server was not overly friendly, but did a good job on the drinks and order taking. We had several fajita plates and a mix of other items including kid's plates. The food was all done very quickly... suspiciously fast. But... it was good. The fajita meats were top quality including the steak and shrimp. The portions were on the large side... so everyone was happy. The dishes could have been spiced a little more and the salsa needs some perfecting, but otherwise it was a good experience. We wouldn't hesitate visiting again.

Accommodated a party of 5 without reservations, fast friendly staff. Food was good quality, drinks were strong as well. Affordable price range, menu varies to accommodate vegetarian needs as well. Clean, pleasant atmosphere.

Steak and shrimp fajitas are amazing! Booths are awkwardly small, go for a table instead. Reliably delicious food.

Omg... if you want some good food you have to visit Carreta’s Grill!!!! The staff are so nice and the food is just omgggg no word to explain! Love the bean dip! And guess what!!! It’s comes in a Humongous Bowl and will last for days! I would recommend eating here to anybody

This place serves great Mexican food. I love the Mango margarita they serve at this location. You can bring your family to this restaurant as they have good food on their menu for everyone

Ceilings too low for fans. Makes them bothersome and cold. Noisy sometimes but food and drinks good. Service is good as well.

Best Mexican food in Metairie! Family friendly , group friendly. Fast service. Never had a bad meal in 13 years. A must try. Best salsa in town.

This was a fantastic dinner. Everything was clean and everyone was very polite. Our classes never went dry. (That's a very big deal for my wife and I.) The food was very very good. The Spanish rice was so fluffy that we got an extra order of it to go. Also every single staff member was wearing a mask. We will definitely be coming back.

Noisy!! The soap in the bathroom is watered down. Could not wash my hands well. So noisy there. Needs some soft wall, ceiling, and floor covering.

The food here was decent. It seems about right for a chain Mexican restaurant. I had the chimichanga and it was delicious. The salsa and chips were mediocre as was the service. The value for the price was excellent so I do intend to return.

Great for single, couples, large groups. Entry of space so not sitting to close to others. And the menu has great food selections, tasty, and filling.

The food tastes great! This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in this area. Friendly smiles from the staff and timely service.I have gotten cold food more than once, or they would score a solid five stars. Best cheese anywhere!!!

The food is good, but over priced. Its a treat but only once in a while. Good margaritas. Did see a waitress use her hands to grab chips out of the warmer but i doubt she works there any more. She wasn't one of their regular employees. The bar staff are always friendly. Food safety and cleanliness isn't the top priority but again, what can u expect. I have always enjoyed my food there, just not the bill lol

Great food! Better service!! We ordered our food at 1:15 and it got out at 1:20!! (not exaggerating!) Definitely recommend if you like mexican

Stop at this location during Mardi Gras. While eating I bit into a DRILL BIT in my soft taco ! They told me they would take care of the issue as 2 of my teeth were damaged. I have pictures and video of this event. They have not returned any emails since I sent the bill and now giving me run around concerning this matter. No accountability and absolutely pathetic excuses. Check your plate if you dine here as I will not be returning and I would suggest against visiting any establishment ran by these people.

Great lunch menu and quick enough for a short meal break. Good food and great prices, would definitely recommend.

The food was absolutely amazing! And the service was incredible. They answered questions I had about the menu and were very kind. Cannot wait to go back!

We just ordered one meal with 2 steak burritos and another meal with an enchilada with corn tortillas due to my girlfriend’s celiacs disease. The food arrived with both meals completely incorrect. Instead was a flat enchilada with melted cheese and flour tortillas, which my girlfriend could not eat. After calling to explain that they had messed up the order, they proceeded to say that everything that we ordered was accounted for. Awful customer service. Very disappointing especially since money is tight due to the current pandemic. We will never eat here again and proceed to tell family to not do so as well.

I will not be dinning here again. I ordered steak soft tacos for lunch assuming they were $1 because you advertise $1 tacos on tuesdays.. I did not specify I wanted flour tortillas. Your waiter assumed I wanted flour tortillas and then charged me $3.25 per taco. When I questioned the bill he said it because I got flour tortillas. Again, I did NOT ask for flour tortillas. Nor does it show on my bill I got flour tortillas.

My server Shirley and Anderson where so awesome!!! Don Beto Alberto always goes above and beyond for my family and I. They made my mom feel extra special!!! Foods great as always!!! And thank you for everything!!! Will be back real soon!!! My moms birthday was perfect thanks to you all! ❤️

As always , the food was good. The staff is as friendly as ever. They worked hard to comply with this ever changing time we are in.

The food had a great taste. The server was very attentive. The portions were really small. I've never seen such a small taco salad. You could fit it in the palm of your hand.

Doing this Covid 19 time, social distancing was fine. Staff helpful but food was off today! We have been here many times, but today the food appeared to be under a food heat lamp for hours. It was dry...rice and beans had very little flavor, dry also. Taco ground meat was full of grease on the plate. Only quality prepared item was the stuffed Relleno pepper.

Always top-shelf, this is a go-to spot for lunch or dinner. I probably go for one or the other at least once a week. You simply cannot beat the value/speed/taste of this place. Good margaritas are a bonus, but I would go here for the chimichangas alone -- shredded chicken, all damn day. Enchiladas are excellent as well. Great service, too.

I just love this place. Good people, good environment. Friendly people. (They also have the best margaritas ever in the world). (Alejandro is one the greatest person in the restaurant)

Amazing mango margaritas. Awesome service. Be careful though families love to bring there bratty children here. And they will ruin your dinner in a heartbeat. Be kind with the host she will make sure to seat you far away from the unruly children. Parents don't care anymore don't teach their children to behave at a restaurant

Best...hear me loud and clear BEST place to eat in Metairie!!! The staff is AMAZING. They are SO QUICK. I've never waited more than 15 minutes for food. Amazing margaritas and the food....omg its to die for.

Our waitress, Erika, was fantastic! We told her we were in a rush and everything came out quick and hot! Service and margaritas were awesome!

I loved this restaurant, our waiter was super nice and the food was excellent! I especially loved my Pina Colada!

This place is somewhat short on parking but the food, the staff and the ambient makes up for it. I came in for lunch and was not disappointed, the chimichanga lunch was fantastic. Would recommend trying it.The ceviche appetizer was great also.

I always enjoy Carreta's superb Mexican cuisine. The servers for this location are always polite, prompt, and never slack on refills.
